JPG and PNG to VP3

Turn a JPG or PNG into a VP3 embroidery file

Upload a picture and InstaEmbroid digitizes it into fill, satin and running stitches, sized for your hoop and saved as a .VP3 for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff machines. No software to install.

How it works

  1. Add your picture Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP or GIF. Bold, flat colours and clear outlines stitch best, and a PNG with a transparent background leaves the background unstitched.
  2. Pick your machine and hoop Choose your machine and hoop and the design is sized to fit, with its stitch speed and format set.
  3. Match real threads Every colour is matched to a real spool from your thread brand, with its number. Change any of them.
  4. Preview and download Watch every stitch sew out on screen, then download the .VP3 and copy it to your machine.

What is a VP3 file?

VP3 is the format Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff embroidery machines use, from the Designer Jade to the creative icon.

VP3 keeps the exact colour of every thread along with its brand and number, so the machine shows the same threads the studio picked.

Questions

Can I convert a JPG to VP3 for free?

Yes. Previews are free and unlimited, and the Free plan includes 3 downloads a week in every format, VP3 included. New accounts also get every feature free for their first week.

Can I convert a PNG to VP3 too?

Yes. The studio takes JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP or GIF pictures. A PNG with a transparent background is ideal: the background isn't stitched.

Is VP3 the same for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff?

Yes. Both brands come from the same company and read the same VP3 files.

What about older HUS or PCS files?

Current Viking and Pfaff machines read VP3, so InstaEmbroid writes VP3. Older machines that only read HUS or PCS need the maker's software to convert it.
